There’s a great deal to do in Parker, especially for those who love the outdoors. The Sulphur Gulch Trail is the perfect location for a morning jog with its 4 miles of paved paths. It’s a popular bike path, too. Castlewood Canyon State Park is also in the area, providing several trails, the perfect place for nature photography, and even some rock climbing excursions.
There are other activities in the area, including the Vehicle Vault, a fabulous collection of exotic and rare vehicles. The historic and rare cars here are impressive. Or, spend some time exploring the Lodo Historic District, Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, or the smaller neighborhood parks.

Public schools include Pine Lane Elementary School, Prairie Crossing Elementary School, Gold Rush Elementary, and Mammoth Heights Elementary School. Ponderosa and Chaparral High School serve most high school students, though some also attend Legend High School.
The city is also home to several private schools, including Ava Maria Catholic School, Parker Core Knowledge Charter School, Southeast Christian School, Lutheran High School Parker, Parker Montessori Educational Institution, and Montessori Academy.
